Subaru unveiled the 2026 Trailseeker earlier this year, and the company has now confirmed pricing for the new wagon-styled crossover. The model will carry a starting price of $39,995. While this places it roughly $5,000 above the redesigned Outback, Subaru is positioning the Trailseeker as a more premium, more refined, and ultimately more appealing option within its lineup—aimed at buyers seeking both style and advanced electric performance.

The entry point into the range is the Premium trim. This version features a sleek, fully enclosed front grille bordered by modern LED headlights, giving the vehicle a clean and aerodynamic face. Practical touches also come standard, such as automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers and a power-operated liftgate. The Premium rides on 18-inch alloy wheels fitted with aerodynamic covers to maximize efficiency. One of the standout features is its generous 211 mm of ground clearance—higher than what is offered on the latest Jeep Cherokee—which signals its capability for light off-road or rough-road adventures.

Inside, the Trailseeker embraces a minimalist but well-equipped cabin. Drivers are greeted by a 7-inch digital instrument cluster paired with a large 14-inch infotainment screen, both supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Comfort comes courtesy of heated front seats trimmed in durable StarTex material, with the driver’s seat receiving 10-way power adjustment. Additional amenities include ambient interior lighting, automatic climate control, and a dual wireless charging pad to keep devices powered on the go.

On the safety and driver-assistance front, Subaru’s EyeSight suite is included as standard equipment. This brings features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, and Traffic Jam Assist. The package is further enhanced with Front and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Pre-Collision Braking, Lane Departure Prevention, and Active Lane Change Assist. Safe Exit Assist and a Blind Spot Monitor round out the extensive list of protective technologies.

Above the base model sits the Trailseeker Limited, priced at $43,995. It comes with subtle exterior upgrades including 20-inch wheels and a hands-free power liftgate. The interior, however, receives more notable enhancements. These include a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated rear seats, and power adjustment for the front passenger seat. An upscale Harman Kardon audio system elevates the sound experience. Additional conveniences include digital key capability and a powerful 1500-watt AC outlet in the cargo area—ideal for camping or work equipment. Parking assist sensors and a panoramic view monitor further improve usability.

At the top of the range is the Trailseeker Touring, beginning at $46,555. This flagship grade sets itself apart with a large panoramic glass roof and a gloss black hood accent. Buyers wanting extra flair can add a two-tone exterior finish for $795. Inside, changes are more subtle but still meaningful, with the inclusion of a digital rearview mirror, ventilated front seats, and radiant leg warmers for enhanced cold-weather comfort. An optional $300 black-and-blue leather seating package allows for more customization.

All Trailseeker trims share the same powertrain: a 74.7-kWh battery pack paired with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system generating 375 horsepower. This setup enables the vehicle to sprint from 0 to 96 km/h in just 4.4 seconds—making it the quickest Subaru ever offered in the United States. The estimated driving range is around 451 kilometers, providing strong capability for daily use and longer trips. Thanks to 150-kW DC fast-charging compatibility, the Trailseeker can recharge from low battery to 80% in roughly 28 minutes. Subaru has also equipped the model with an NACS charging port, ensuring access to a wide range of charging networks.
