Jeep has long enjoyed expanding its catalog with limited-run versions of its vehicles, and for the 2025 model year, the brand is introducing yet another addition to this tradition. The new variant is called the Gladiator Dark Sky, a model that subtly taps into the increasingly popular blackout aesthetic without going fully over the top. Built upon the budget-friendly Gladiator Sport S trim, this edition distinguishes itself with a collection of darker exterior accents, including shadow-toned badges and graphics as well as gloss-black inserts integrated into the bumpers. These touches are complemented by fender flares finished in the same color as the bodywork, giving the truck a more cohesive appearance. Jeep has also equipped it with a performance-style hood, a component that seems to be borrowed from the well-loved Gladiator Mojave, adding a slightly more aggressive edge to the vehicle’s stance.
Although the changes for this edition aren’t extensive, Jeep has introduced a notable first for the Sport S lineage. Buyers who choose the Dark Sky package will have the option of ordering a body-colored hardtop, something that hasn’t been offered before on the Sport S trim. Traditionally, customers could only select a black Freedom Top, priced at around $1,695. The arrival of a color-matched roof expands customization options for those who prefer a cleaner, more uniform exterior appearance. Despite this new flexibility and the added visual enhancements, the Dark Sky package remains reasonably priced, tacking on just $1,495 to the vehicle’s base cost. As a result, the 2025 Gladiator Dark Sky is expected to start at approximately $43,095, not including the additional $1,995 destination charge.
Inside, the Dark Sky maintains the familiar amenities found in the Sport S model on which it is built. Owners can expect everyday comfort and convenience features such as air conditioning, a modern push-button start system, and Jeep’s updated 12.3-inch infotainment display that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Standard cloth seats and an eight-speaker audio system round out the cabin equipment, ensuring a functional and user-friendly interior suitable for both daily commuting and weekend adventures.
Power continues to come from Jeep’s proven 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, an engine well known across the brand’s lineup. In this configuration, it delivers 285 horsepower and 352 Nm of torque, supplying the Gladiator with dependable performance. The engine is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a standard four-wheel-drive setup. With this combination, the Dark Sky achieves fuel-economy figures of around 17 mpg in the city, 22 mpg on the highway, and 19 mpg combined, keeping its efficiency in line with other Gladiator variants equipped with the same powertrain.
