BMW iX3 Production Started In Chinese Plant

The first BMW iX3 has left the production line at the BMW-Brilliance Automotive plant located in Shenyang, China. The BMW-Brilliance Automotive which is also known as BBA is where BMW makes it zero emission cars for Chinese market and global market. This facility also makes the normal ICE powered BMW X3 alongside with the electric iX3 crossover.

Electric Motor

BMW iX3 benefits the fifth generation eDrive system with 80 kWh battery pack and an electric motor. The rear axle mounted electric motor can produce 282 hp and 400 nm of torque. Which is enough to hit 100 kph in 6.8 seconds. BMW iX3 also can hit the limited top speed of 180 kph.

The iX3 can travel up to 460 km with full charged battery. BMW iX3 is also compatible with 150 kW DC fast-charging system that can charge 80 percent of battery in 34 minutes.

Other highlights about the iX3 include 19-inch alloy wheels with aerodynamic capabilities, adaptive suspension, electronically controlled dampers, sport seats, blue interior accents, and range of driver assistant systems.
