SV Black Joins Range Rover Lineup

If you're searching for a high-performance SUV that not only delivers on-road aggression but also turns heads with bold styling, the new Range Rover Sport SV Black might be just what you’re looking for. This latest addition to the Range Rover family isn't just another special edition with a limited production run—it’s here to stay, unlike the short-lived SV Edition One and Edition Two. The SV Black takes everything the Sport SV does well and dials up the stealthy style, performance, and exclusivity to new heights.

True to its name, the SV Black is finished entirely in Narvik Black, making it one of the most menacing-looking SUVs on the market. The exterior is further enhanced by the Narvik Gloss Black Exterior Pack, which gives the vehicle a sinister, unified aesthetic. Among the standout features are a carbon fiber hood, also painted black to maintain the theme, along with massive 23-inch forged wheels in Gloss Black. Even the brake calipers, exhaust tailpipes, and Range Rover badges are finished in black, offering a thoroughly stealthy and understated alternative to more flamboyant rivals like those from Ferrari, Lamborghini, or Bentley.

Inside, the cabin continues the dark theme with Ebony Windsor leather used across most surfaces, providing a luxurious yet subtle feel. There’s also liberal use of piano black trim, which enhances the SUV’s refined yet moody interior. While this high-gloss material is known for attracting fingerprints, it complements the all-black design direction that defines the SV Black experience.

Under the hood, the SV Black is anything but subtle. It’s powered by a BMW-sourced 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with mild-hybrid technology. This potent setup produces a staggering 626 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque, making the SV Black not just stylish but seriously fast. In fact, it outpaces even the regular Sport SV, sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds and achieving a top speed of 266 km/h. These figures put it squarely in supercar territory, while still retaining the utility and comfort expected of a Range Rover.

Land Rover plans to officially unveil the SV Black at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, one of the most prestigious automotive events in the world. Orders for this blacked-out beast will open later in the year, giving enthusiasts a chance to own one of the fastest and most visually distinctive Range Rovers ever built.
