It was just some months ago, that Mercedes EQ just astonished its fans with a new concept. This car looked like aliens’ vehicle. And now, it is passing a few last month to be seen on the roads. What is now so on trend, is the distance, which is more than 400 miles on a full charge. This range could dislodge the Tesla’s Model S sedan from the first place of EV driving range. As Automotive News Europa reports, Daimlers Ola Källenius told company shareholders that the “EQS will set the benchmark” for EV luxury.

One of the tests includes driving rage, which for the new model is 435 miles on a full charge. Regretfully, this number is so optimistic for the Worldwide Harmonised light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP). It hasn’t still tested based on the Environmental Protection Agency testing procedure which is used in USA. Yet, the figure for EQS has the better capacity for a long-lasting drive than Tesla Model S. this vehicle has 0-100 kilometer is under the 4.5 seconds and by an appropriate 350-kW charger, it will be 80 per cent charged under 20 minutes.

Mercedes Benz EQS Concept

The WLTPs 378-mile was recorded for the Model S, without the updates of Long Range Plus trim. By considering these updates, a range of 402 miles is reachable. If the claims be true, and Mercedes hits this record, it could be an interesting event. However, Mercedes hasn’t revealed any new information.

Mercedes Benz Vision EQS

However, it is so obvious that this luxury car will hit 300 miles so easily. EQS unlike the Mercedes-benz EQC crossover, has a unique EV platform (EVA2). So, it will take the place of the upcoming 2021 S-class sedans’ chassis. According to these changes, it is possible to place a bigger battery between the wheels.as the same time the vision of EQS and the concept remains untouched.

What we are really keen to see is this car on the roads. We looking forward to see Mercedes formally unleash the EQS before the end of the year. it is also so predictable to start United states sales late in 2021.
