Larte Design Carbon Fiber Upgrades Give GLS 63 a Sportier Look

The Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 is already a commanding presence straight from the factory, but Larte Design felt there was room to add a touch more aggressiveness. The German tuning firm has unveiled the ‘Winner’ body kit, a newly crafted package designed to enhance the SUV’s aesthetics without venturing into overly flashy territory. Unlike some of Larte’s more extravagant creations, this kit strikes a balance between sportiness and sophistication, giving the GLS 63 a sharper, more dynamic stance while retaining its inherent luxury appeal.

One of the most noticeable upgrades is the carbon fiber hood, which incorporates strategically placed vents to improve engine cooling. The front bumper receives a subtle new splitter, complemented by carbon fiber accents along the edges of the air intakes, reinforcing the SUV’s performance-oriented character. The kit also features flared wheel arches at both the front and rear, creating space for optional aftermarket forged wheels. While the intricate spoke design of these wheels may appear a touch elaborate for such a large SUV, buyers retain the flexibility to stick with the original factory rims if preferred.

The rear of the GLS 63 sees thoughtful enhancements as well. Larte adds a carbon fiber diffuser, a gently curved roof spoiler, carbon fiber overlays on the bumper, and new, more pronounced tailpipes. Each modification subtly elevates the SUV’s aggressive look without detracting from the AMG’s refined design language.

All body components in the ‘Winner’ kit are made from lightweight pre-preg carbon fiber and have received TÜV certification, ensuring safety and quality compliance. Additionally, the parts are designed to attach using the vehicle’s original mounting points, which eliminates the need for cutting or permanent modifications. This feature is especially appealing for owners who may wish to revert to the stock configuration when selling the vehicle or simply prefer the flexibility of removable enhancements.

It’s worth noting that Larte Design doesn’t always adopt this restrained approach. In October, the tuner unveiled a highly dramatic package for the Cadillac Escalade, featuring a fully exposed carbon hood, pronounced wheel arches, an aggressive front splitter, and a bold rear diffuser. Compared to that, the ‘Winner’ kit for the GLS 63 is far more subtle. However, this understated refinement is precisely its charm—it accentuates the SUV’s athletic presence while maintaining the core personality and elegance of the Mercedes-AMG design.

In summary, the Larte ‘Winner’ body kit enhances the GLS 63’s muscular styling with carbon fiber detailing, aerodynamic upgrades, and visual accents, delivering a sportier appearance without compromising the SUV’s luxurious and commanding identity.
