Geely has officially launched the Galaxy M9, introducing a flagship model that blends luxury, advanced technology, and impressive range figures. The vehicle is available in six different trims, giving buyers a choice between versions equipped with standard driving assistance and those featuring the more sophisticated G-Pilot H5 advanced driver-assist system. Among its configurations, the M9 boasts a remarkable maximum comprehensive driving range of 1,505 kilometers, placing it among the leaders in long-distance capability for plug-in hybrid SUVs.
On the design side, customers can personalize their M9 with a palette of six exterior color options, including silver, blue, green, black, gray, and white. Dimensionally, the SUV is generous, measuring 5,205 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, supported by a 3,030 mm wheelbase. Aerodynamics have also been carefully optimized, resulting in a drag coefficient of just 0.285 Cd. Depending on the configuration, curb weight varies between 2,180 kg, 2,400 kg, and 2,530 kg.
Inside, the Galaxy M9 emphasizes comfort and cutting-edge tech. With an interior space of 5.2 square meters, it offers a 2+2+2 six-seat layout, with second-row captain’s chairs designed for maximum comfort. These seats feature leg rests, lumbar support, heating, ventilation, and even 10-point massage functions. Technology dominates the cabin, starting with a massive 30-inch dual-screen setup, complemented by a 12.66-inch digital instrument cluster and a sporty flat-bottom steering wheel. Higher trims also come with a 9.1-liter refrigerator, neatly integrated beneath the center console, with a wide temperature range from -6°C to 50°C.
Powering the smart cockpit is the Flyme Auto 2 system, supported by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P processor. This setup includes Eva, a virtual AI assistant capable of handling navigation, adjusting cabin settings, and even entertaining children with stories. Entertainment options extend further with a 17.3-inch ceiling-mounted screen and a 32-inch AR-HUD for immersive driving information.
The Galaxy M9’s G-Pilot H5 advanced driving system integrates 27 sensors, including a lidar unit, three millimeter-wave radars, 11 HD cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars. Powered by an Nvidia Orin-Y chip, the system can execute advanced features such as highway NOA (Navigate on Autopilot), city NOA without high-definition maps, and intelligent parking assistance.
Performance comes from the NordThor AI hybrid 2.0 system, which pairs a 1.5T gasoline engine with either a single front electric motor or a three-motor configuration. The engine produces 219 hp and 255 Nm, while the front motor alone delivers 241 hp and 350 Nm. Battery options include an 18.4 kWh pack for 100 km of pure electric range and 1,325 km combined range, or a 41.46 kWh pack capable of 230 km electric range and up to 1,505 km in total. The range-topping version adds two rear motors, each producing 228 hp and 280 Nm, paired with the larger battery pack, giving 210 km of electric driving and 1,300 km overall. Thanks to 3C fast-charging technology, the battery can charge from 30% to 80% in as little as 15 minutes.
With its blend of long-range performance, premium interior features, and advanced driver-assist technology, the Galaxy M9 marks a bold step forward for Geely in the premium SUV market.
