Chery’s upscale brand Exeed has officially brought its new mid-size extended-range SUV, the Exeed Exlantix MX, to international markets. This model, known domestically in China as the Exeed Exlantix ET5, marks another step in the brand’s global expansion strategy. The SUV is offered in two main variants. With trade-in incentives applied, pricing begins at 134,900 yuan, which equals roughly 19,070 USD, while the regular retail pricing ranges between 20,500 and 22,600 USD, positioning it competitively within the global extended-range electric SUV category.

Stylistically, the Exlantix MX showcases Exeed’s newest design philosophy. The front adopts a closed-off grille, emphasising its electrified identity, complemented by shell-shaped LED headlights. At the rear, a full-width LED light bar enhances the SUV’s futuristic aesthetic. In terms of size, the model measures 4,780 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,720 mm in height, accompanied by a 2,800-mm wheelbase, placing it squarely within the mid-size SUV class. Higher-end trims also stand out with a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor, clearly signalling the vehicle’s advanced autonomous-driving aspirations.

Inside the cabin, Exeed has equipped the Exlantix MX with a tri-screen cockpit layout. This setup includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, a 15.6-inch central multimedia display, and a 12.3-inch screen for the front passenger. All three displays run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8255 cockpit platform, ensuring fluid graphics and responsive controls. Premium materials such as Nappa leather, Alcantara, and refined dual-tone interior combinations elevate the overall ambiance. Smartphone connectivity and intelligent vehicle-software features are also standard across both trims.

The top-spec version comes with Exeed’s new Falcon 700 intelligent driving system, which leverages the Horizon Robotics Journey 6P chipset and the HSD (Horizon SuperDrive) platform. This advanced setup incorporates a rooftop LiDAR unit, 27 high-precision external sensors, radars, and multiple cameras. Together, these components deliver enhanced highway and city-level driver assistance, along with versatile automated-parking capabilities across a wide range of scenarios.

Powering the Exlantix MX is a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that serves purely as a generator within the extended-range electric architecture. Propulsion comes from a rear-mounted electric motor capable of producing 195 kW and 324 Nm of torque. The vehicle is equipped with a substantial 32.66-kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery, granting it a CLTC-rated pure electric range of 210 km. When operating in hybrid mode, the total combined range reaches an impressive 1,310 km, placing the Exlantix MX among the longest-range EREVs available in its pricing bracket.

Designed to seat five passengers, the Exeed Exlantix MX combines its long-range capability, sophisticated driver-assistance systems, and premium interior technology to appeal to families and tech-oriented buyers alike. In China and other developing EREV markets, it competes directly with models such as the BYD Song L DM-i, Deepal S07, and Leapmotor C11, all of which utilise either plug-in hybrid or range-extender electrification systems.
