The durable 2024 GMC Sierra AT4X now offers the most modern Duramax 3.0-liter inline-six turbodiesel engine, expanding its selection of available powertrains. The truck's version for the 2024 model year will come standard with the powerful unit.
The 2.0-liter Duramax engine in issue will only be available on a few Sierra 1500 grade levels in 2023.
The engine now produces 305 horsepower and 671 Nm of torque thanks to new steel pistons with a modified combustion bowl, a fine-tuned turbo compressor, new fuel injectors, and enhanced temperature management features. That is 10 and 7 percent greater than what the first-generation engine was capable of.
The Flint Engine Operation in Michigan will continue to produce the 3.0-liter Duramax. The gasoline-powered 6.2-liter V8 engine will still be available as an option for the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X, despite being the standard choice.
More minor changes will be made to the 2024 Sierra 1500. The new, power-retractable side steps will be available for the Denali, Denali Ultimate, AT4, and AT4X. There will be active exhaust options for the Denali, Denali Ultimate, AT4, AT4X, and SLT. Downpour Metallic and Thunderstorm Gray are two of the new wheel styles and additional colors that will be available.
With Multimatic DSSV dampers and front and rear e-locking differentials as standard equipment, the Sierra 1500 AT4X is prepared for off-road driving.
In the summer, these vehicles start showing up in showrooms. There is no pricing available right now.
