As its mentioned before, this vehicle has the technology of Ultium battery. Also is has the ability to charge 350-kW with the 800-volt DC fast charge. Ultium Batteries can change the parallel mode to the series mode during the charge. by this way, they can add 100 miles in 10 minutes. We don’t know the size of the battery but we can guess the 350-plus miles.
The four-wheels steering is so useful for off-roaders. also, the CrabWalk is also there to ease the driving in special conditions. This feature helps the angel of the rear wheels calibrate with fronts in low speed. That means better maneuverability. Also, the rear wheel can independently turn out of the phase to reduce the turning radius.
Also, by using the air suspension, this truck rises up to 6 inches. Though there are no geometry figures yet, that means better ground clearance and breakover angles. The company it self also said this vehicle can ford more than 2 feet of standing water.
It is important that this truck has good performance on roads too. As said before accelerating too 100-Km in 3 seconds is an impressive number. The Tesla Cybertruck accelerates in 2.9 seconds. The Super Cruise option is also so convenient. This hands-off option does not just drive the truck, but also changes the maneuver and using the turn signal when the lane change would be optimal.
The first E-Hummers, Edition 1 are paint in white and outfitted with an attractive, modern Lunar Horizon interior, will cost you $112,595. This is the only model which is available in Fall 2021.the 2022 GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 ha all the features like Infinity Roof, Watts to Freedom drive mode, adaptive dampers, an Extreme Off-Road Package (underbody armor, rock sliders, and those 35-inch tires), and four-wheel steering with CrabWalk. Super Cruise also comes standard on the Edition 1.
Then in 2022, the new variant, EV3X, with three-motor powertrain is available for $99,995. This edition has adaptive air suspension, Watts to Freedom mode, CrabWalk, and active torque vectoring. One year later in spring Hummer EV2X comes to market. This costs you $89,99. The features are CrabWalk, adaptive air suspension, and a two-motor electric powertrain. 2024 is the year of two-motor EV2 base model, foregoes most of the EV2X’s off-road goodies to hit a base price of $79,995.
That takes four years to see the base-models of this EV to come. During this time, other competitors will also have improvements. That means they go to the market sooner and may grab the success of the Hummer.
