JAC T9 Ute Slashes Prices by $5000 in Limited-Time Deal

The 2025 JAC T9 ute is now being offered in Australia with special drive-away pricing as part of a limited-time campaign aimed at clearing remaining 2024 model-year stock. This promotional pricing is available for purchases made between July 1 and August 31, 2025, and provides buyers with significant savings of approximately $5000 off the regular on-road cost. The entry-level variant, known as the T9 Oasis, is now available for just $39,990 drive-away in all states and territories, except Western Australia, where the price is slightly higher at $40,990. Normally, the Oasis model is listed at $42,662 before on-road expenses, which typically brings the total to somewhere between $45,000 and $47,000 depending on the location of purchase.

This promotional price positions the JAC T9 Oasis as a more affordable option compared to one of its primary rivals, the GWM Cannon four-wheel-drive dual-cab ute, which starts at $40,490 drive-away for private customers. However, business owners holding an ABN can purchase the GWM Cannon for a reduced $38,300, thanks to fleet or business discounts.

In addition to the Oasis, the more well-equipped T9 Haven is also part of the promotional offer. It is currently priced at $43,990 drive-away, or $44,990 in Western Australia. This is a notable reduction from its standard list price of $45,630 before on-road costs, which usually equates to between $48,500 and $50,500 drive-away depending on the buyer's location. These new offers make the JAC T9 an even more competitive option in the growing and hotly contested dual-cab ute market.

The JAC T9 first arrived in the Australian market in September 2024, albeit a few months later than initially scheduled. It features a robust 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine producing 125kW of power and 410Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The T9 also includes a part-time four-wheel-drive system, a low-range transfer case for off-road driving, and a locking rear differential for enhanced traction in tough conditions. Although the initial launch promised a braked towing capacity of 3500 kilograms, the actual rating is now confirmed at 3000 kilograms.

In terms of safety, JAC claims the T9 is “Australia’s safest ute,” based on its weighted average score in ANCAP safety testing under the 2023–2025 protocols. The T9 achieved a high score of 87 percent, outperforming other utes such as the GWM Cannon Alpha (85 percent), the BYD Shark 6 (83 percent), and the Mitsubishi Triton (79.5 percent). These results position the T9 at the top of the class in terms of safety under the latest standards.

With competitive pricing, solid towing capability, and leading safety credentials, the JAC T9 is shaping up to be a compelling value proposition in Australia’s popular dual-cab ute segment — especially while the current drive-away deals last.
