BMW Will Build i Hydrogen NEXT With Toyota Partnership

BMW is planning to build a hydrogen-powered SUV based on BMW X5. The new model will enter the production line by 2022 and will be known as the i Hydrogen NEXT.

Although the battery-powered electric vehicles are growing so fast, the main problem for costumers remains as the charging time while for hydrogen fuel cell cars it takes only 3 to 4 minutes to refuel which is comparable to ICE-powered vehicles.

BMW developed its fuel cells in partnership with Toyota and it can provide 369 hp. There is no other words about i Hydrogen NEXT but as Germany has planned to be a flagship country in hydrogen-powered vehicles we can expect the BMW to develop more fuel cell cars.
