Specifically, Ford has decreased the prices for the Heritage and Free Wheeling trims by $1,335, setting them at $33,960 and $33,990, respectively. The Outer Banks trim sees the most substantial reduction, with $1,980 shaved off its price tag. Meanwhile, the Badlands trim remains unchanged at $39,985.

Built on Ford's C2 platform, which also underpins the Escape, the Bronco Sport now stands only $400 pricier than its crossover counterpart. The Escape starts at $30,990, inclusive of a cheaper $1,495 destination charge.

The 2024 Ford Bronco Sport is available with two turbocharged EcoBoost engine options. The base 1.5L three-cylinder produces 181 hp and 190 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.[4] For more power, there is a 2.0L four-cylinder engine generating 250 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque, also mated to an 8-speed auto.[5] Both engines utilize direct fuel injection and twin-scroll turbochargers for improved efficiency and responsiveness. The Bronco Sport comes standard with an intelligent 4WD system that can transfer torque between the front and rear axles as needed for optimal traction.

Built on a unibody chassis, the Bronco Sport has an independent front and semi-independent rear suspension setup tuned for off-road capability. It features 8.8 inches of ground clearance and can ford up to 23.6 inches of water.[5] The available Trail Control system acts like an off-road cruise control to manage throttle and braking at low speeds over rough terrain. The Bronco Sport's approach, departure and breakover angles are 30.4, 33.1 and 20.4 degrees respectively when equipped with the Badlands trim's higher ride height and all-terrain tires.[5] Other off-road focused tech includes Trail Control, Trail Turn Assist, and selectable G.O.A.T modes (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain).
