Volvo unveiled the new EX90, a three-row electric SUV that is attractive and loaded with technology. It will be the brand's flagship model, but the company also unveiled the EX90 Excellence in Shanghai, a two-row, four-seat choice for those seeking a little more comfort.
The console also has a fridge to accommodate a large beverage bottle, and the chairs have pillows for enhanced comfort. The fragrance dispenser is controlled by a sizable Orrefors crystal that is part of the center console, which is made of natural wood. A control panel for the heated and massage seats is also included, and mood lighting adds to the ambiance. Volvo uses recycled materials like PET bottles to make the Nordico or wool-blend upholstery for the EX90.
Another wooden part is located below it, and it features an integrated touch panel that enables quick access to the seat's heating and massaging options. A sizable Orrefors crystal that serves as a switch to operate the scent dispenser is also available to passengers.
Dedicated climate controls and plush pillows that support your neck round out the highlights. For those sitting in the front seats, there is a drawer and a 14.5-inch infotainment system visible.
The crossover boasts a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system and a range of up to 650 km, according to Volvo, which did not provide any further specifics.
The EX90 debuted with a large 111-kilowatt-hour battery pack and a dual-motor all-wheel drive arrangement. In its most powerful configuration, the SUV can produce up to 496 horsepower and 671 pound-feet of torque.
The EX90 Excellence will be introduced in China to address the need for "high-end, chauffeur-driven vehicles."
