The “God’s Eye” A (DiPilot 600) is the centerpiece of the vehicle’s intelligent driving capability. This system integrates a powerful sensor suite consisting of three lidars, five millimeter-wave radars, 14 ultrasonic radars, and 18 cameras. Together, they enable features such as high-speed and city Navigation on Autopilot (NOA), fully automated parking assistance, and remote-controlled parking. Complementing these technologies is an infrared vision system that enhances safety and awareness in adverse weather or low-visibility environments. Capable of detecting moving objects at distances of up to 120 meters, it can stretch detection to 300 meters in darkness, fog, rain, or dust.

Inside, the Yangwang U8L emphasizes space, comfort, and luxury. Its 2+2+2 seating configuration provides accommodation for six passengers, while the cabin volume of 5.3 m³ ensures ample room. The second row benefits from generous knee room of 280 mm, and cargo versatility is enhanced by a trunk capacity of 1,115 liters. Adding to the sense of exclusivity, intelligent privacy windows automatically adjust shading depending on ambient light. At the center of the cockpit sits the DiLink 300 system, powered by a state-of-the-art 3nm chip. The digital setup includes a 12.8-inch OLED curved central touchscreen, a 23.6-inch instrument display, a co-pilot multimedia screen, and an augmented-reality head-up display (AR-HUD). For rear passengers, a massive 21.4-inch ceiling-mounted entertainment screen elevates the travel experience.

Luxury amenities extend further with the second-row executive zero-gravity seats, which feature built-in headrest speakers, an 18-point massage function, leg rests, smart armrest touchscreens, folding tables, and wireless charging pads. The SUV also offers a host of premium equipment: a 32-speaker Dynaudio audio system, a 1.7㎡ panoramic glass roof, a climate-controlled refrigerator, 13 USB and power ports, 14 airbags, and customizable 128-color ambient lighting.

Performance is just as remarkable. Built on BYD’s e4 platform, the U8L can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds despite its size. Its engineering also allows a tight turning radius of 5.45 meters and even maintains stability during a tire blowout. Unique capabilities include a tank turn, crab walk, and emergency water floatation, showcasing versatility across extreme conditions. Drivers can select from 13 different driving modes, optimized for terrains such as snow, sand, and even floodwaters.

The powertrain is equally advanced, combining a 2.0T engine, a 55.53 kWh Blade battery pack, and four independent electric motors. Together, they deliver an astonishing 1,180 horsepower and 1,520 Nm of torque. The SUV provides a 200 km pure electric range, while its combined driving range reaches up to 1,160 km. Supporting long-distance capability, the U8L carries a 90-liter fuel tank, and its fast-charging system can replenish the battery from 30% to 80% in only 13.5 minutes.

With the Yangwang U8L, BYD is aiming to set new benchmarks in the luxury SUV segment, merging breathtaking performance, futuristic technology, and uncompromising comfort into one commanding package.
