Just with celebration of 45 years with Golf GTI, Volkswagen has also announced the new VW Golf GTI Clubsport 45. Though some days ago some pictures of new GTI have leaked out, but now officially we are aware of all details about it. Just for tip, GTI is for the line of high-performance cars of VW.
This new vehicle, has very nice look, if we ignore the non-harmonic of front hood and rear. This car will be debuted with a black roof and also a matching roof spoiler. GTI means there is also the exclusive Race package too. The 19-inch Scottsdale alloy wheels in a high-gloss black finish and a Tornado Red pinstripe are on the list too. And for cherishing the 45th anniversary (and also the name of car) company has hidden this letter on the side sill panel which also making an appearance on the boot lid.
When it comes to the Race Package for the Clubsport 45, that means a sport exhaust system and without 250 km/h top speed limit. The matrix LED headlights with red trim strips just as the standard item on it, made it much more attractive. Stepping inside the 45, what comes first in sight, are the front premium sports seats with the GTI lettering. And again the “45” on the steering wheel makes it much more unique.
Under the hood is still the heart of Standard Golf GTI Clubsport. The same 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This engine produces 296 hp and delivers 400 Nm to the wheels. The paired seven-speed dual-clutch transmission helps to hit 100 km/h in just 6.0 seconds. That means a shorter gears ratio is used in compare with the standard GTI.
For all types of Clubsport models, Golf used the VAQ electromechanical locking front differential but for the standard GTI the electronic XDS system is used. Moreover, the adaptive suspension system is upgraded to have more modes than just “Nürburgring”. So that means improved preferred suspension settings.
The time for sale, is set for the first of march in the selected European countries and for having one of these beauties, you should spend at least 47,790€ in Germany.
