The New Porsche Boxster 25 Is Here To Pay Tribute To The 1996 Model

Author: |

25 years ago, the 986 Boxster was born. People loved it. They still believe it’s fun to drive it. It was powerful, strong, mighty. Its 2.5 liter flat-six engine generated 201 horsepower. Now after 25 years, Porsche has come back with an anniversary model to pay homage to the original and iconic roadster. Its name is 2021 Porsche Boxster 25.

Looks

The appearance is the only thing that the two models share. The design of the 2021 Porsche Boxster 25 was inspired by the Boxster concept that was debuted 27 years ago, in 1993, at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

If you look closely, you would see how the beautiful copper trims and other parts of the body contrast with silver metallic paint. It is exactly like the original concept. At rear end, there is this Boxster 25 badge.

The cabin is gorgeous since it glows with Bordeaux Red retro leather cover for the seats and dashboard. The metal Boxster 25 letters create a classy and attractive contrast. When you look at the cabin design, you realize how special and iconic the anniversary model is.

Unfortunately, not many of us are lucky (or rich enough) to get one of these vintage looking Boxsters, since it will be limited in production and only 1.250 units will be produced. So, if you manage to get one, you will truly become special.

The roadster will be available in three different body colors, silver, white or black metallic. The red topping of the interior can also be switched with black.

Specs

All the Boxster 25 models will come with rear mounted powertrains. The engines are all flat-six, producing 394 horsepower and are accompanied by either a six-speed manual transmission or a dual-clutch gearbox.

Pricing

The price starts at $98,600, while the 2021 Boxster 25 will enter the market in the spring.
