The all-new e-208, is Peugeot’s first pure electric car and it was practical enough to win an award in Portugal. The new model was able to win the title of “Electric Car of the Year”. The award was presented by Exame Informática. Which is the best publication in innovation, science and technology.
The new Peugeot e-208 was praised for its different yet brave design. It was believed that driving this pure electric model could deliver comfort and pleasure at the same time. The model is technologically rich and along with reliability and innovation, it created a very powerful electric vehicle.
For Exame Informática 20th anniversary, the trophies for 14th edition of “The Best of Technology” were presented. The goal of this award presentation was honoring the unknown researchers, new ideas put to test and companies which are familiar with environmental issues and try to produce a sustainable product in order to solve them. For the 14th edition, the all-new Peugeot e-208 was the only car to be recognized and named as the best electric vehicle of the year.
The new e-208 is powered by a 50kWh battery pack which is there to produce 131 horsepower. In the WLTP cycle, the range can get to 340 km. The fascinating point is the charging speed. The e-208 can recharge the battery up to %80 during 30 minutes, at public charging station with the capacity of 100kW.
