Skoda is marking its 130th anniversary this year, and to celebrate, the company has introduced a special edition that blends nostalgia with performance—the Fabia 130. While much of the brand’s recent spotlight has focused on the upcoming Epiq electric crossover, this new Fabia variant ensures that the automaker’s small hatchback lineup doesn’t go unnoticed. More than just a commemorative badge job, the Fabia 130 is officially the fastest factory-built Fabia ever, standing as a fitting tribute to one of Škoda’s longest-running nameplates over its 26-year history.

Built upon the foundations of the Fabia Monte Carlo, this performance-oriented edition adds a host of technical and aesthetic enhancements that elevate both its looks and driving dynamics. Under the hood lies the familiar 1.5-liter TSI EVO2 turbocharged engine, now tuned to deliver 175 horsepower—a gain of 27 hp over the Monte Carlo version. Torque remains unchanged at 250 Nm, but the added power translates into noticeably sharper acceleration. According to Škoda, the Fabia 130 sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds, shaving 0.6 seconds off the standard model’s time. Mid-range acceleration has also improved, with the 80–120 km/h passing test completed in 4.8 seconds instead of 5.3, while top speed climbs slightly from 224 km/h to 229 km/h.
Unfortunately for purists, the Fabia 130 is offered exclusively with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, as Škoda has opted not to include a manual gearbox. However, the gearbox has been retuned to handle the extra power and deliver quicker, smoother shifts. Complementing the performance boost, engineers have given the hatchback a 15 mm (0.6-inch) lower suspension setup, enhancing cornering stability and giving it a sportier stance. The steering software has also been recalibrated to offer more precise feedback through the smoked-look 18-inch Libra alloy wheels, improving driver confidence and engagement.
Visually, the Fabia 130 makes its presence known without being overbearing. Buyers can choose from four exterior colors—Moon White, Velvet Red, Race Blue, or Black Magic—each paired with a gloss black roof, pillars, and mirrors for a sleek two-tone finish. The sportier touches continue with black front and rear spoilers, a rear diffuser, and red brake calipers, setting it apart from the visually similar Monte Carlo trim. Subtle “130” badging adorns the front fenders and rear hatch, with additional references visible on the door sills as you step into the cabin, hinting at its special-edition status.
With its blend of performance enhancements, stylish detailing, and historical significance, the Škoda Fabia 130 isn’t just a birthday gift to the brand—it’s a celebration of how far the Czech automaker has come. It captures the essence of Škoda’s commitment to making fun, efficient, and accessible cars that blend everyday practicality with a genuine spark of driving excitement.
