Ram has officially unveiled the 2026 edition of its Heavy Duty (HD) truck lineup, introducing two fresh variants just months after the debut of the 2025 models. Earlier this year, the 2025 Ram HD series was launched with an updated design and a more powerful 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel engine, delivering an impressive 430 horsepower and 1,456 Nm of torque. Building on that momentum, Ram is now enhancing its HD offerings with the introduction of the 2026 Ram 2500 Black Express and Warlock variants—both of which are built on the Tradesman trim level.
The first of the two new models, the Ram 2500 Black Express, brings a blend of style and function. It is available in both rear-wheel and four-wheel drive options, with choices between short and long bed configurations. This variant includes a $2,495 premium over the Tradesman, resulting in a starting price of $53,735 including destination fees. Visually, the Black Express features a more cohesive exterior design with body-color bumpers and a matching grille surround for a sleeker appearance. It also comes with a sport performance hood, black 20-inch wheels, and tubular side steps. The interior is modest but practical, outfitted with cloth bench seats, carpeted flooring, and floor mats. Standard safety and utility features include front and rear ParkSense sensors and power tow mirrors.
For those looking for a more off-road-oriented experience, the 2026 Ram 2500 Warlock may be the better fit. Also derived from the Tradesman, the Warlock variant adds $2,995 to the base price, bringing the total cost to $57,165. This crew cab truck comes standard with four-wheel drive and a short bed, and is equipped with rugged 20-inch diamond-cut wheels wrapped in 34-inch Goodyear Duratrac all-terrain tires. Off-road enhancements include an anti-spin rear differential, a transfer case skid plate, Hill Descent Control, and Bilstein shock absorbers. On the outside, the Warlock features distinctive black design elements such as fender flares, bumpers, and a grille surround, in addition to a unique Warlock decal. Inside, it shares many of the same features as the Black Express, including tow mirrors, cloth bench seating, carpeting, and all-weather floor mats.
Under the hood, both new variants come standard with a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine, producing 405 horsepower and 581 Nm of torque. Customers still have the option to upgrade to the more powerful 6.7-liter Cummins diesel engine. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Ram is already accepting orders for these new models, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the third quarter of the year. Commenting on the launch, Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis emphasized the brand’s commitment to offering attractive trucks at accessible prices. He noted that these new additions successfully combine custom looks and practical features while maintaining Ram’s reputation as a leader in the sport truck market.
