Polestar at the Munich Motor show revealed new information about the new member of this family. This automaker has the Polestar 1 as a plug-in hybrid coupe, and the Polestar 2, the electric crossover. Polestar 3 will also be available just in one year and the production will be started in United States.
The Polestar 3 follows the foot steps of Volvo XC90. As it is announced, the new Polestar shares not only the platform, but also the production line is the same. Same architecture and sharing many components with each other make these two vehicles so alike, but Polestar have a solution to make the difference. Polestar 3 will have a very unique powertrain.
This engine is the Ace cart of company. That make the car bespoke. Meanwhile when company calls the new powertrain as “a top power position that is unique to Polestar,” reveals that, the out put of this polestar will be definitely much higher than the Volvo XC90. Also, the Polestar’s CEO Thomas Ingenlath added, at the IAA event:
“I definitely see that as a good combination, at the end of the day the twin motor has a bit more power and acceleration, but there are lots of people who don’t need that thrill,”
As he claims, in some regons like Norway or Austria people adore the all-wheel drive, but on the other hand in China or US the cars with just a single motor are much more popular. So, it's necessary to know yours cars market.
As the Car and Drivers website reports, the Polestar 3 has two rows of seats, because of making some differences with the Volvo version. The new crossover of polestar has moderner roofline.
This automaker targets for 30 markets around the world. Ingenlath wants to rise the production to 100,000, and Polestar 3 is the main character of this goal.
