The Nissan Sentra continues to be a popular choice for those seeking a reliable and affordable sedan, and the 2025 model aims to build on that reputation with a few thoughtful updates and a slight price increase. This year’s model retains the core qualities that have made the Sentra a favorite, such as its comfortable ride, practical features, and a strong emphasis on safety.

All 2025 Sentra models come equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 149 horsepower and 198 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an Xtronic continuously variable transmission (CVT) that delivers power to the front wheels, providing a smooth and efficient driving experience.

The base price for the 2025 Sentra starts at $21,590, which is a slight increase from the previous year’s starting price of $21,180. This increase affects the entire lineup to varying degrees. For the entry-level S trim, the price rises by $410. Meanwhile, the mid-range SV trim sees a smaller price hike of $180. The top-of-the-line SR trim experiences a $320 increase, reflecting its position as the most feature-rich variant in the lineup.

While Nissan hasn’t made many significant changes to the Sentra for 2025, the company has introduced a new maintenance care program aimed at enhancing the ownership experience. This program offers buyers up to three complimentary oil changes within the first two years or 24,000 miles of ownership, whichever comes first. This new program is designed to add value for Sentra owners and reduce the cost of maintenance during the initial period of ownership.

Another update for the 2025 model is the introduction of a NissanConnect Services package for the SV trim, available for an additional $200. This package adds app connectivity features and access to a Wi-Fi hotspot, providing greater convenience and connectivity for drivers and passengers.

However, the entry-level Sentra S remains relatively basic in its offerings. It comes with halogen headlights and 16-inch steel wheels with decorative covers. Inside, the Sentra S is equipped with a 4.2-inch multi-information display, a 7-inch infotainment screen, and a four-speaker audio system. The standard features also include air conditioning, power windows, and power door locks, ensuring basic comfort and convenience.

Safety remains a strong focus for the Sentra, with the model coming standard with a suite of driver assistance systems. These include Intelligent Cruise Control, High Beam Assist, and Blind Spot Warning. Additionally, the car features Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Automatic Braking, and Lane Departure Warning, all of which are designed to enhance driver confidence and passenger safety.

For those seeking more luxury and features, the higher-end Sentra variants provide a more upscale experience. The range-topping SR trim, for example, offers LED lighting and 18-inch alloy wheels that enhance its exterior appearance. Inside, the SR trim adds heated front seats, a six-speaker audio system for improved sound quality, a larger 8-inch infotainment screen, and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster display, making it a compelling choice for buyers looking for more comfort and technology in an affordable sedan.
