Introduced as the next-generation successor to Mazda's traditional Mazda6, the all-new EZ-6 made its global debut at the prestigious Beijing Auto Show. Unlike its predecessor, the EZ-6 is built upon the EPA1 architecture, a platform shared with the Deepal SL03 sedan, a collaborative effort between Mazda and its Chinese partner, Changan.

Measuring 4,921 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,485 mm in height, the EZ-6 boasts a balanced weight distribution of 50:50 in its battery electric vehicle (BEV) variant. Embracing Mazda's renowned 'Soul of Motion' design ethos, the EZ-6 showcases a dynamic front fascia adorned with sleek LED headlights and a striking grille. Notably, its overall silhouette closely resembles that of the Deepal sedan, particularly evident in the rear design featuring a compact tailgate and distinctive lighting elements. Internally, the EZ-6 shares several design elements with its SL03 counterpart.

Inside the cabin, occupants are greeted with a plethora of modern amenities, including a prominent 14.6-inch infotainment display and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. Further enhancing the driving experience are the flat-bottom steering wheel, customized center console, sleek air vents, and ambient lighting system.

While specific technical details for the BEV and range-extender versions of the EZ-6 are yet to be disclosed, Mazda claims the BEV variant will offer an impressive range of approximately 600 km, while the range-extender model is purported to exceed 1,000 km on a single tank of fuel. Equipped with front strut suspension and multi-link rear suspension, the EZ-6 is expected to inherit electric powertrains from the Deepal SL03, including options for 58.9 kWh and 66.8 kWh battery packs, powering a rear electric motor in configurations of 215 hp and 320 Nm or 255 hp and 320 Nm.
