Neom, one of the big Ideas in Saudi Arabia’s Prince head. This is the name of the future, futuristic smart city. This city will locate in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia near the Red see. One of the fascinating means of transportation in this City, is Line. This system, as a very fast transit system, could take the passengers in 20 minutes, 105 miles away.
As storm of changes passed through the Saudi Arabia, the NEOM city was born too. Prince Mohammed bin Salman revealed some information about this city which will have about one million residents. What is interesting about the city is the new LINE there, just like the science fiction movies.
As Neom will be an all-sustainable city, there is no places for emission producers like regular cars. So, the LINE will be the answer. As this city will have no streets, LINE will connect the city with its 170 kilometers vast. This project would cost about $500 billion and located at the heart of the flagship business zone. And the construction of it will start in the first quarter of 2021.
Neom would be not just a regular city. Beside the environmentally friendly soul, it would brig tourism to the country too. The first section of this green city will be finished by 2025 optimistically and LINE would be the first of the urban development projects. Bin Salman claims:
By 2050, one billion people will have to relocate due to rising CO2 emissions and sea levels. 90 per cent of people breathe polluted air."
The dark side of this beautiful city, is the displacement of people and tribes within the area as the place is already occupied by people, wish to go nowhere. And don’t miss the construction energy wastes and emissions. Maybe its time to sacrifice some things (and people) for bigger wishes!
