Is This An Electric Version Of The Hyundai Sonata For China?

Hyundai is going to introduce and sell a new sedan in China with pricing between 135,800 yuan to 175,800 yuan. While many details of the new car haven’t released yet but Hyundai revealed the pricing range and some unofficial photos.

The new sedan is almost similar to the new Sonata in many aspects while the front facia is different and like the Santafe the headlights are located on the bumper under the DRLs. the big grille also varies depending on the version of the car as there are three different types of grilles for this car.

At the rear, the new car looks very similar to the Sonata with new LED taillights that are connected to each other with a light bar. In terms of size, the new sedan measures 4780/1815/1460mm respectively and its wheelbase is 2770 mm that puts it in the same segment as the Sonata and Kia K5.

There will be an all-electric version that you can distinguish from its closed grille and some other accents. The pure electric model uses a single electric motor with 183 hp.

There will be two petrol versions with 1.8-litre 143 hp and 1.5-liter turbocharged 170 hp engines. The first model is connected to a CVT transmission and the turbocharged version is connected to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
