Like many other new EVs from China, the intriguing Hyper HT from GAC Aion has just been priced there, and it's far more reasonable than you might think. The GAC Aion Hyper HT will be offered in six different trim levels.
The RWD Technology Version and RWD Battery Swap Version models, which start at 213,900 yuan, or the equivalent of $29,520, are the least expensive in the range. With 241 horsepower and 355 Nm of torque, an electric motor at the rear wheels is powered by a 72.7 kWh battery pack in the RWD Technology Version. The Chinese test cycle indicates that it can reach 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and go 600 km on a single charge.
The RWD Battery Swap Version, as its name suggests, allows for battery swapping and features a slightly smaller 70 kWh pack while maintaining the same 241 horsepower and 355 Nm rating. Its range is 550 km.
The RWD High-Voltage Version costs $31,725, the RWD High-Voltage NDA Version costs $33,795, and the RWD Gull-Wing Doors High-Voltage NDA Version costs $39,450 for those looking for a little bit more performance. With an 80 kWh battery and a more potent electric motor producing 340 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque, all three of these versions can complete the 0-100 km/h sprint in 5.8 seconds. Their respective ranges are 670 km.
The RWD Gull-Wing Doors High-Voltage Max Version is the highest model in the lineup. This model features a larger 93 kWh battery pack and is priced starting at $45,520. It has a 770 km battery life.
The Luxury package, which costs $1,655 and adds Nappa leather, a 10-point massage function for the driver's and front passenger seats, and heated rear seats, is available as an option on all versions save the flagship model.
