Ferrari originally launched the Roma in late 2019, presenting it as a stylish and luxurious grand tourer. Though production of the Roma has since ended, its legacy continues in a newly refined model named the Ferrari Amalfi. More than just a simple refresh, the Amalfi carries forward the essence of the Roma while incorporating key updates in design, technology, performance, and comfort. Ferrari describes the Amalfi as a modern evolution of “contemporary sportiness,” combining top-tier performance with everyday usability and elegant design cues.
From the exterior, the Amalfi retains the familiar silhouette of the Roma, though with a more sculpted and modern appearance. One of the most noticeable updates is at the front end, where Ferrari has replaced the Roma’s traditional grille with a broad lower air intake and a sleek, dark horizontal bar linking the redesigned headlights. This gives the car a cleaner, more futuristic face. A larger splitter and subtle sensors are also integrated into the new design. While the side profile largely remains unchanged, the vehicle rides on stylish 20-inch wheels, which can be fitted with Bridgestone Potenza Sport or Pirelli P Zero tires. At the rear, designers introduced a curvier fascia, relocated the license plate recess closer to the diffuser, and added redesigned vents and taillights for a fresher look.
Inside, Ferrari has gone even further with a complete overhaul of the cabin. The interior ditches the previous driver-passenger divider, allowing for a more open and unified layout. A newly integrated 10.25-inch infotainment system now takes center stage, with a horizontal orientation that replaces the older 8.4-inch portrait-style screen. It supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Digital technology continues with a 15.6-inch digital gauge cluster for the driver and an 8.8-inch display for the front passenger, showing engine data and performance metrics. The redesigned steering wheel now features physical buttons, including the return of a metallic start button, while the center console, carved from anodized aluminum, houses a gear selector gate, a key slot, and a wireless charger. Touches of carbon fiber and minimalist styling throughout add to the sporty yet refined feel.
The Amalfi also aims to boost driver and passenger comfort. Ventilated comfort seats, available in three sizes, feature a massage system with ten air chambers for extended journeys. Buyers can upgrade to a 14-speaker Burmester premium sound system with a powerful 1,200-watt output for an immersive audio experience.
Beneath the hood, the Amalfi receives the latest evolution of Ferrari’s twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 engine, now delivering 631 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque—a 20-horsepower increase over the Roma. This enables a 0–100 km/h sprint in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h. Enhancements include upgraded turbochargers, cylinder-specific pressure sensors, a raised redline of 7,600 rpm, and a new engine control unit. The engine is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, which benefits from improved software integration and faster shift speeds. A new exhaust bypass valve with dedicated tuning maps adjusts the engine sound dynamically to suit driving conditions, meeting noise regulations while preserving Ferrari’s signature exhaust tone.
Ferrari also focused on driving dynamics and safety. The Amalfi incorporates a brake-by-wire system that enhances braking efficiency and control, while the ABS Evo system has been fine-tuned for diverse road conditions and all Manettino drive modes. The updated electric power steering system includes a smarter, faster grip estimation feature—especially useful on low-traction surfaces. On the safety front, the Amalfi adds modern driver-assistance technologies such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Traffic Sign Recognition, and a Surround View Monitor.
In short, while the Amalfi inherits the DNA of the Roma, it takes a bold step forward, offering greater performance, advanced technology, and refined luxury—solidifying its place in Ferrari’s lineup as a new benchmark for sporty sophistication.
