Today, designing and building powerful hypercars are more popular than ever. Many well-known brands have designed at least one hypercar. Recently, a new brand has emerged and it’s called Elation. The American company is based in Northern California. The name of its very first car is Freedom and it will be the first hypercar built in America. It will be a fully electric car.
Last month, we got to look at this silent car in the renderings, which will probably be close to the final products. It won’t arrive at the market anytime soon, but the brand has declared the process has already started. Since it wants to compete with some great names such as Lotus Evija, Rimac C_Two, and the Pininfarina Battista, it must be perfect.
Elation says it won’t build a mockup since it wants to speed the process as much as possible. So, it will offer a practical prototype. Freedom’s nickname is Dogo 001. It is named after Dogo Argentino, which is a dog breed especially created in Argentina for hunting wild boar and other big games.
According to what we know, the car will not be produced until early 2022. Elation has promised to offer its new darling to Geneva Motor Show. The company plans to test prototype of Dogo 001 next year, so we should wait for updates until then.
Specs
Freedom’s specifications are mind-blowing. The power generated by the three-motor variants is 1.427 horsepower. It can also produce 1.440 Nm of torque, but that’s not it. There is this fourth motor which makes the total power almost 1.903 horsepower! Dogo 001 will hit the 100 km/h in only 1.8 seconds and the top speed can reach 418 km/h.
The motors are paired with a two-speed gearbox and all the models will have the AWD capability. If you are not a fan modern hypercars, you can buy the model which comes with a 5.2-liter V10 engine which produces 750 horsepower.
