Carlex Design has once again demonstrated its flair for transforming the iconic Mercedes-Benz G-Class into head-turning, bespoke works of automotive art. Amid a sea of heavily customized G-Wagons, the company’s latest Vintage line manages to carve out a distinctive identity, merging retro aesthetics with modern craftsmanship in a series of bold and unique designs. This new collection builds upon the momentum from the recent debut of the standout “Rose” edition, a bold pink-on-pink creation that captured attention worldwide. Now, Carlex expands the Vintage family with five additional models, each boasting a distinct personality and design language.
Among the new entries, the model dubbed “Fiamma” stands as the brightest and most vivid. Named after the Italian word for flame, it features a fiery orange paint scheme inspired by Mediterranean sunsets and Sicilian citrus groves. The upper half of the vehicle is finished in clean white, evoking a sense of balance and refinement. Classic chrome elements, including the bumpers, mirrors, and wheels, enhance the retro vibe, giving Fiamma an unmistakably vintage appeal.
For those who prefer a more understated expression of luxury, the All Black version offers an elegant alternative. This variant abandons flashy chrome in favor of an entirely blacked-out look, both inside and out. Despite the absence of bright accents, it doesn’t compromise on luxury. The cabin has been fully re-trimmed with premium black leather, creating a cohesive and stealthy aesthetic that appeals to minimalist tastes.
Another standout is the Rubino, a rich and visually striking creation. Its ruby red exterior is complemented by a black-painted upper body, black chrome detailing, and custom ruby-red wheels. The bumpers are also finished in black, lending the vehicle a bold and powerful presence. Inside, the Rubino boasts an interior that rivals high-end luxury cars like the Maybach, featuring dark red and black leather upholstery, custom wood flooring in the cargo area, and matching wood detailing on the rear seat backrests.
The Sabbia edition takes a lighter, more classic approach. Sporting a soft cream and white exterior, it is adorned with polished chrome elements for a timeless look. This palette continues inside, where cream-colored leather upholstery is accented with subtle light brown trim, producing a warm and welcoming cabin environment.
Completing the lineup is the Fern, a deep green beauty with chrome and white highlights. Inside, it arguably offers the most visually dynamic cabin of the group. Rich brown leather covers most interior surfaces, punctuated by vibrant orange accents that create a sense of both luxury and playfulness.
With this collection, Carlex Design reinforces its position as a leader in high-end customization, giving the G-Class a fresh and nostalgic reinterpretation through the Vintage series.
