AC Schnitzer has unveiled a comprehensive suite of enhancements tailored for the 5-Series and i5 lineup, injecting an added layer of excitement into the executive sedan segment. Focusing on elevating aerodynamics, offering an array of alloy wheel options, and fine-tuning suspension dynamics, AC Schnitzer aims to deliver an enhanced driving experience. Furthermore, the company is in the process of developing performance enhancements for specific gasoline and diesel engine configurations, slated for release in the near future.

The initiative for the G60 BMW 5-Series commenced late last year, with AC Schnitzer introducing a range of lightweight alloy wheels spanning diameters of 19, 20, or 21 inches. Building upon this foundation, the sedan now benefits from a subtle yet impactful body kit, enhancing its visual presence. This package is compatible with all variants of the 5-Series, provided they come equipped with the M-Sport package ex-factory.

At the front, a prominent splitter is paired with corresponding side skirts, while the rear receives dual spoilers mounted on both the roof and trunk. Additionally, a protective trim piece has been integrated into the rear bumper to safeguard against scratches during cargo loading. Moreover, owners have the option to elevate the interior ambiance with aluminum pedals, a footrest, and specialized covers for the iDrive controller and key holder.

To achieve a more planted stance, AC Schnitzer offers the option of lowering springs and spacers. Rear-wheel-drive iterations (520i, 530i, 520d, and 523d) can achieve a reduction in ride height by 15-20 mm, whereas models equipped with BMW’s all-wheel-drive system (530i, 520d, 523d xDrive) can undergo a lowering of 25-30 mm. Additionally, black anodized aluminum spacers are available, adding 10 mm of width on each side.

The majority of these enhancements are also applicable to the fully electric BMW i5 sedan, which shares design similarities with its internal combustion engine-powered counterpart. The G61 Touring variants of the model are similarly compatible with these upgrades, though the double rear spoiler option is exclusive to the sedan configuration.

For enthusiasts considering outfitting their BMW with AC Schnitzer components, pricing varies depending on the chosen enhancements. Alloy wheels represent the most significant investment, with prices reaching up to €5,890 depending on size, finish, and variant. As for the body kit components, costs include €1,290 for the splitter, €840 for the side skirts, €540 for the lip spoiler, and €490 for the roof spoiler. Lowering springs are priced at €490, while spacers are available for €232.
