This crown was handed several times. The latest fastest car was Koenigsegg Agera RS with a velocity of 277.87 mph (447.19 km/h). But now this car should also hand the crown to the new World Fastest Car, SSC Tuatara.

For being a candidate for a such a Crown, the vehicle should meet the Guinness World Record rules, SSC Tuatara passed these standards. Also, for recording the speed, the same route in Las Vegas near Pahrump was chosen as it was for the Agera RS in 2017. This hyper car on 10th of October did the test as the fastest street-legal production car. the professional racing driver, Oliver Webb, was behind the wheels and has the opportunely to be the first one who drove the fastest car ever.

SSC Tuatara with the normal fuel and street tires hit a mind-boggling 316.11 mph (508.73 km/h) following two runs in opposite directions, one at 301.07 mph (484.53 km/h) and the other at 331.15 mph (532.93 km/h). That’s very impressive. Also, Oliver Webb believes this car can even do better. Also, as he claims by no crosswinds, SSC Tuatara can go faster.

Engine

Don’t thing the engine of this car is so big. Its big but not too much. The power of this vehicle comes from its 5.9-liter engine with a meticulously balanced crank and exotic engine mounts filled with a proprietary gel. Also, it has 1,750 horsepower and 1,280 lb-ft of torque. These numbers are based on using a E85 fuel (the regular fuel that every body uses it.) this engine can easily reach the 8,800 rpm. For cooling the such a monster 11 different heat exchangers was used like two whoppers for the dedicated air-to-water intercooler system.

Aerodynamics

For driving such a speed don’t forget the perfect aerodynamic design of this car. the drag coefficient is 0.279 and front/rear aero-weight balance remains at a constant 37/63 percent from 150 to 312 mph. for modeling such a masterwork the Italy's Potio Engineering did cooperate to design the elaborate duct work. It was very important that air efficiently going throw all those radiators and coolers doesn’t drop. This team used their previous experiences for the F1 cars.
