2024 Chevrolet Silverado Fox Factory Edition Is Coming For The Raptor

Author: |

Fox Factory isn't sitting around twiddling their thumbs waiting for Chevrolet to roll out a worthy adversary to the F-150 Raptor R or Ram TRX. They've taken matters into their own hands with the creation of the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado Fox Factory Edition. This beast boasts a staggering 700 horsepower under the hood and enough suspension travel to safely touch down on an aircraft carrier. And it's not just a one-off project – Fox Factory plans to produce 500 of these robust Silverados. However, there's a catch: the price tag is set at a hefty $209,999.

While Fox Factory states this as an estimated starting MSRP, it still commands a premium of $100,000 over the F-150 Raptor R. But what exactly are you getting for your money? Well, for starters, there's a supercharger strapped onto the Silverado's 6.2-liter V-8 engine, boosting power output to the aforementioned 700 hp and 870 Nm of torque. Complementing the enhanced powertrain is a Borla exhaust system, ensuring a throaty soundtrack to accompany your adventures, all managed by Chevy's 10-speed automatic transmission. However, the real highlight here isn't just the brute force of the engine.

Fox Factory is renowned for their off-road prowess, and they've left no stone unturned in upgrading the Silverado's suspension. Out goes the rear leaf spring setup, replaced by a long-travel multilink arrangement. This includes Fox 3.2 coilovers and aluminum trailing arms, providing an impressive 15.5 inches of usable travel at the rear. Up front, a long-travel A-arm setup paired with Fox 3.2 shocks offers 14.5 inches of travel. This semi-active, electronically controlled system can be adjusted on the fly from inside the truck, prioritizing control and stability at high speeds over rough terrain.

Collaborating with Baja Kits, Fox Factory has beefed up the Silverado's underpinnings, outfitting it with a Dana 60 Axle and an ARB air locker at the rear. The front limited-slip axle receives 3.73 gears, while the widened track gains an additional six inches. Rolling on 17-inch Method wheels wrapped in 37-inch BFG K02 tires, this truck is ready to conquer any terrain.

To accommodate these mechanical enhancements, Fox Factory has also given the Silverado a visual makeover. Carbon fiber components, including the hood, wide front fenders, and rear bedsides, reduce weight and add a touch of aggression. High-clearance bumpers adorn the front and rear, complemented by an array of auxiliary lights. Inside, the cabin receives an upgrade with Alcantara trim and more carbon fiber accents.

While Fox Factory hasn't provided a specific release date for this high-flying Silverado, they are currently accepting reservations with a $5,000 initial deposit. With its blend of raw power, advanced suspension technology, and rugged design, the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado Fox Factory Edition is poised to make a significant impact in the high-performance truck market.
