Mitsubishi has chosen to release a new version of the previous Outlander PHEV. Mitsubishi has now released pictures of the most cost-effective version.
On October 28, the international premiere will take hold. Meanwhile, Mitsubishi has released photos of the most cost-effective model.
There's also Plug-In Hybrid EV badging on the front doors and rear, as well as an additional gasoline cap for the charging outlet. The only difference is the PHEV's black roof, which is a spitting copy of the 2022 Outlander we reviewed in April.
Only the digital instrument cluster looks to be a little different on the inside, with a distinct area for the PHEV powertrain that displays the battery's charge level.
The interior offers a three-row configuration, which was not previously possible with the plug-in hybrid model, in addition to substantial upgrades in terms of material quality and degree of technology.
Although technical details are yet to be disclosed, Mitsubishi has announced that the Outlander PHEV now has more power and a bigger battery pack for increased electric range. The Outlander PHEV will be on sale in Japan in mid-December after its formal debut later this month. It will go on sale in the U.S in the latter half of next year.
