2022 Toyota Tundra Debuted, Safety Features Improved

Toyota debuted the revamped 2022 Tundra, which will fight with the Ford F-150, Nissan Titan, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, and Ram 1500. Toyota's Tundra was created in the United States, and the company is now trying to expand its market share.

The Tundra 2022 will be available in Double Cab and CrewMax body types. While the appearance varies based on grade, all Tundras feature a formidable front fascia with a commanding grille. Vertical air intakes and T-shaped headlamps flank the latter. Moving back, you'll see a sculpted hood and powerful fenders. In addition, the vehicle sports blacked-out A-pillars and a more dynamic greenhouse.

Outback, there's a brand-new sheet molded bed with aluminum cross-sections. This design allows the bed to be lightweight while also providing superior protection against dents and corrosion.

The bed appears simple, yet it has tie-downs, rails, and wheel wells that are barely visible. Bed lamps and a 120V outlet are also included for buyers.

The taillights on the 2022 Tundra are three-dimensional, and the tailgate gets a new debossed badging. According to the manufacturer, the tailgate is 20% lighter than its predecessor and has a key fob release.

The new Tundra has a high-tech cockpit with higher-quality materials and an enhanced design within the cabin. The traditional gauges and a 4.1-inch multi-information display or a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster are among the most significant changes. The digital instrument cluster is also available and varies based on the drive mode selected, providing particular information for towing or off-roading.

Toyota's all-new Audio Multimedia infotainment system is also standard on the 2017 Tundra. The system has 8-inch and 14-inch screens. It also supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as a virtual Intelligent Assistant and Google point-of-interest data.The Tundra comes included with all-new switchgear, featuring high-quality knobs with rubberized accents. The model also has a wireless smartphone charger and a brand-new center console.The seats are also very comfy, and there is plenty of space upfront. Unlike the previous generation Tundra, which was only available with a 5.7-liter V8 engine producing 381 horsepower and 544 Nm of torque, the redesigned truck is available with two powertrains based on a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine. The entry-level model generates 389 horsepower and 649 Nm of torque.

The inclusion of an all-new hybrid engine named the i-Force Max is major news. It lives up to its title, producing 437 horsepower and 790 Nm of torque. The motor is powered by a nickel-metal hydride battery housed behind the back seats. It enables the vehicle to run at low speeds only on electricity.

The 2022 Tundra can pull up to 5,443 kg, a 17.6 percent increase. The maximum cargo capacity now rises to 880 kg, an increase of more than 11%. The Tundra comes standard with a Panoramic Picture Monitor, which displays a top-down view of the vehicle on the infotainment system.
