The new Toyota Hilux is not available in the United States, although it is quite popular in other regions. These two Hilux Revo GR Sport vehicles built for Thailand come with two variants.
The Hi-Floor version isn't half terrible either. It's merely a fancy way of saying "four-wheel drive," which implies the Lo-Floor is only two-wheel drive. Toyota claims that both trucks have a more sports car-like appearance and, to a lesser extent, performance.
On the exterior, both versions have a redesigned snout with a body-colored grille and unique wheels.
As a sporty truck should, the GR Sport Lo-Floor sports a modest body package with side skirts and black trim. It also has reduced suspension, measuring 23 millimeters. The 17-inch wheels with low-profile tires seem completely out of place on this vehicle.
Fender flares, a black sport bar with LED lighting, side step boards, and an improved suspension with new monotube shocks are all standard on the GR Sport Hi-Floor. It also features an increase in wheels, although these are more suitable 18-inchers with higher-profile tires. They appear a little tiny on the Hilux, but it is definitely the more proportional of the new GR Sport versions.
The GR Sport Hi-Floor and Lo-Floor join a slew of Hilux variants currently on the Thai market. The Lo-Floor starts at $27,000, while the Hi-Floor starts at $40,000.
