Kolesa.ru has revealed some pictures of a computer render of the next-generation Mazda CX-5. The modest modifications point to a last makeover of the current model before the arrival of the new one.
The front fascia now has a lower grille design, and the headlamps seem smaller with L-shaped LED components. Meanwhile, the primary grille has a new pattern, and the new renderings show all of the changes.
The lower portion of the bumper at the back has simpler lines, and the taillights extend farther into the boot. When compared to the CX-5, which is currently available in Mazda dealerships, the general design stays essentially intact.
The fact that this SUV appears so familiar leads us to assume that it is not the next-generation model. When the new CX-5 arrives, we expect it to have more significant cosmetic modifications, as well as being a whole new vehicle with optional six-cylinder engines. Our belief is that Mazda will continue to sell the existing model for another year or two until the next-generation CX-5 is ready for market release. The next model is expected to be released around 2023 or 2024.
