In September, Jeep unveiled its first plug-in hybrid model, which is the latest member of the electrified range. It is also the first plug-in hybrid offspring to the family. Jeep Wrangler 4xe is the name of this new product and it is going to be more expensive than the other models. Yes, it is more expensive. Like $50,000, you might say?

According to the American manufacturer, the MSRP of the 4xe in Sahara starts from $47,995 and the MSRP Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe starts at $51,695.

Since the mighty model has two electric motors, you have to pay a $7,500 federal tax credit and any other eligible state and local credits for it.

Christian Meunier, the Global President of Jeep Brand – FCA says that the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is the cleanest, greenest and most efficient and capable Wrangler the company has ever offered. He also said that they plan to make the brand one the greenest SUV makers in the world, and this new model is an important step in of the process. It is eco-friendly, fun and an exciting off-roader.

The plug-in system mounted on the 2021 Wrangler 4xe, generates 375 horsepower and 637 Nm of torque. The rest of the power, comes from a 2.0-lter engine which co-operates with the other two electric motors and a 400-volt, 17-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack, which is located under the second seat row.

According to this automotive maker, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and Sahara 4xe models, will be delivered to the customers from the first quarter of 2021.
