It was a couple of months ago that the GM-SAIC owned brand Wuling revealed a city EV car called the Hong Guang (Wuling Hong Guang X Concept). The car uses a 27 hp electric motor supported by a 13.8 kWh battery pack. The top speed for the Hong Guang is 100 kph while it can provide 200 km of driving range.
The Hong Guang is a small mini car that measures 2,917 mm long, 1,493 mm wide, 1,621 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 1,940 mm. While the Hong Guang is very small in dimensions it received big feedback from the Chinese market. The automaker received more than 50,000 orders for the Hong Guang Mini EV.
