Toyota Prius and Prius V Recalled For Hybrid System Failure

Toyota recalled 2013 to 2015 Prius and 2014 to 2017 Prius V for possible failure on their hybrid system.

As Toyota announced that in some circumstances the hybrid system can not enter a failsafe driving mode which then can cause the vehicle to lose power and stall. While the vehicle s stalled the power steering and brakes are operational but stall this stall situation can be dangerous at higher speeds.

The recall covers almost 267k vehicles only in the U.S and total number of 752k vehicles worldwide. For fixing the problem, users should go to Toyota dealers (as Toyota will notify them by late August 2020) and Toyota will update the hybrid system software and in some cases, they will change the inventor if needed.
