Rox Motor’s newly updated Polestones Adamas—an evolved iteration of the original Polestones 01—has officially made its domestic debut in China after first being showcased in the Middle East. With its fresh name, revised styling, and upgraded features, the Adamas is preparing for its full market launch scheduled for December. Although it carries forward the signature “square-box” aesthetic of the Polestones 01, the updated model incorporates a series of refinements to give it a more polished and contemporary presence.

One of the most noticeable exterior changes is the redesigned front end. The frame surrounding the grille is now finished in the same colour as the body, resulting in a cleaner and more unified look. Additionally, the honeycomb detailing beneath the headlights has been replaced by a more streamlined, enclosed panel that aligns better with the SUV’s modernised design direction. Rox Motor will offer the Adamas in five body colours—Deep Rock Grey, Glacier White, Forest Green, Quicksand Gold, and Starry Black—allowing buyers to tailor the vehicle’s appearance to their personal taste.

In terms of size, the Polestones Adamas remains a full-size SUV. It stretches 5,050 mm long, 1,985 mm wide, and 1,869 mm tall, while riding on a generous 3,010 mm wheelbase. These dimensions place it among the more spacious options in its segment, providing substantial room for passengers and cargo alike.

The interior also receives significant enhancements. The cabin centres around a large 15.7-inch touchscreen that serves as the main interface for vehicle functions, paired with a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel in front of the driver. Rox Motor has refined the steering wheel design for better ergonomics, and a new “Star River Purple” interior colour option adds a modern and stylish touch. Buyers will be able to choose between a 6-seat (2+2+2) arrangement or a more family-oriented 7-seat (2+2+3) layout. Higher trims include an array of luxury-oriented features such as soft-close doors, a built-in refrigerator, second-row “zero-gravity” seats designed for maximum comfort, and a rear entertainment display.

Powering the Adamas is an extended-range hybrid system combining a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with electric motors. The petrol engine produces 108 kW, while the single-motor version delivers up to 201 hp. The dual-motor configuration features two motors—201 hp at the front and 268 hp at the rear—resulting in a combined output of 469 hp. A 44.5 kWh battery enables a CLTC-rated pure electric range of 215 kilometres, making it suitable for daily commuting without fuel consumption. To further enhance ride comfort and versatility, the Adamas comes equipped with an air suspension system offering 140 mm of adjustable travel.

At present, the Polestones 01 is Rox Motor’s only model, consistently achieving monthly sales exceeding one thousand units. Rox Motor itself was founded by Roborock, a well-known manufacturer of vacuum cleaners. Interestingly, another vacuum brand—Dreame—has also expressed plans to enter the automotive industry, signalling a growing trend of tech-appliance companies branching into smart vehicle development.
