Mazda continued its teaser campaign for the North American 2024 Mazda CX-90 and revealed that its flagship crossover will be available with an entirely new 3.3-liter e-Skyactiv Turbo inline-six engine. The recommended premium gasoline will enable the engine to produce 340 hp and 500 Nm of torque.
Mazda confirmed that mild hybrid technology will be used in the engine to increase fuel efficiency. This makes it the automaker's most potent gasoline engine to date, and it will provide "an exhilarating driving experience with a gratifying exhaust tone," according to the company. Mazda stated that the CX-90 will have a rear-biased all-wheel drive system regardless of the plug-in hybrid's specifications.
