Ford V8 Engines Will Live An Other Day

These days are the days for EV’s. this is a new trend all around the world. For preserving the environment and controlling the Greenhous gases and so much other reasons, most companies are producing Electronic cars and making smaller engines with lower gasoline. So, what happened to the big engines like V8? Are they going to be extinct? Ford Authority made an exclusive report.

Although companies are using turbocharges and smaller engines, Kumar Galhotra, the Ford Motor Company Vice President and President of the North American region announced that V8 engines will be produced in the future too. So, don’t panic. This is the answer in the time that blue oval didn’t consider a V8 for the Bronco. By the way every thing has a due date. How long would V8 engines stay around? He answered:

“That’s very difficult to predict. The transition [from ICE to BEV] is happening before us right now, but when it will happen depends on so many things, like battery costs, fuel cost, and regulation. The input factors are so numerous that I don’t think anybody can predict precisely when it will happen, but the shift is happening.”

Currently, Ford has many cars which their powertrain is V8 such as Mustang GT, Shelby GT500, super duty and etc. the engines are FoMoCo’s 5.0L Coyote V8, 6.2L Boss V8, 7.3L Godzilla V8, 5.2L Voodoo V8, supercharged 5.2L Predator V8, and 6.7L Power Stroke Scorpion V8.

For now, this American company sees the future bright, as their competitors are leaving the field and shifting to the Electric Vehicles. That mad Blue Oval the one and only for V8’s. But meanwhile they are preparing themselves for the Electric-Era too. Ford F-150, the electric version is under progress and would be lunched in mid-2022.
