The highly anticipated 2025 Kia Tasman ute, which officially hit the Australian market in July, is now receiving comprehensive aftermarket support from one of the country's leading four-wheel-drive accessory specialists, ARB. This move signifies a strong commitment from the aftermarket sector to the new utility vehicle, providing Tasman owners with a wide array of options to enhance their vehicle's off-road capability, protection, and functionality.

ARB, a well-established and trusted name in the Australian 4x4 community, has officially unveiled its initial range of custom-designed accessories specifically engineered for the Kia Tasman. Central to this new offering is the Summit MkII steel bull bar, a robust protective addition that meets ARB’s stringent safety and durability standards. Complementing the front-end protection are the specially designed Summit side steps and rails, which offer both chassis protection and improved vehicle access. Beyond these dedicated parts, ARB has also integrated products from other trusted manufacturers into its Tasman accessory portfolio, notably featuring trays and canopies supplied by MITS Alloy, allowing owners to tailor the ute's cargo management system to their exact needs.

To effectively showcase the breadth of available modifications, ARB's marketing materials feature a striking Tan Beige Tasman X-Pro model, which has been fully outfitted with a mix of vehicle-specific and universal accessories. This demonstrator vehicle serves as a comprehensive example of the level of customisation that owners can achieve. The universal items fitted include essential off-roading gear such as high-performance driving lights for enhanced visibility, a versatile roof rack system for carrying extra gear, a crucial recovery point for extraction scenarios, and an antenna for improved communication. Furthermore, the X-Pro display model features an upgraded tyre and wheel package, visually distinguishing the vehicle and improving traction.

Crucially, the demonstrator highlights significant performance and electrical upgrades. It is fitted with the acclaimed MT64 suspension upgrade from Old Man Emu (OME), a brand under the ARB umbrella, which is designed to improve ride quality, load-carrying capacity, and off-road articulation. Power management is addressed through a Redarc 12-volt battery system, an increasingly essential component for modern touring and camping setups. These additions collectively underscore the extensive range of products that are immediately available for both purchase and professional installation at ARB's network of retailers.

While the Summit MkII currently holds the distinction of being the sole bull bar design for the Tasman listed on ARB’s website, the company is expected to expand its offerings. Earlier in June, preceding the ute’s official launch, ARB had provided previews of other conceptual designs, including a version featuring the distinctive, hoopless Zenith bull bar and the Summit Sahara MkII design. These mock-ups suggest that Tasman owners will eventually have a choice of front protection options to suit various aesthetic preferences and functional requirements.

ARB is not alone in providing accessories for the new ute. Competitors in the 4x4 accessory market, such as Ironman 4x4, are anticipated to announce their plans for the Tasman soon. Meanwhile, Kia itself has proactively entered the accessory space by offering a substantial range of genuine accessories directly from the commencement of customer deliveries in July. The official Kia catalogue features practical additions, including different tow bar kits, various tub covers and canopies, robust side steps, a snorkel to enhance wading capability, floor mats, and roof racks. Furthermore, Kia dealerships are now stocking their own range of protection bars, offering customers the choice between the traditional 'hooped' and the cleaner, more modern 'hoopless' bull bars.

The pricing structure for the 2025 Kia Tasman caters to a broad market, beginning at $38,010 before on-road costs for the entry-level two-wheel-drive S single-cab chassis. The range culminates with the premium, highly-specified four-wheel-drive X-Pro dual-cab pick-up, priced at $74,990 before on-road costs. To stimulate initial sales, Kia is currently running a compelling limited-time promotional offer on the Tasman X-Line model, which typically retails for $67,990 plus on-road costs. The X-Line is being offered at a special $67,990 drive-away price across all states, with a slight adjustment to $68,990 in Western Australia.

This special drive-away price includes a no-cost 'X-Line Sports Pack' as an added incentive. The contents of this value-added pack include a soft tonneau cover to protect cargo, a stylistic short arm sports bar, practical tubular side steps, and the inclusion of metallic paint at no extra charge. This specific offer is valid until the end of November 30, 2025, unless Kia opts to extend the promotion. The introduction of these aggressive sales incentives follows a slower-than-anticipated initial market reception for the Tasman, with sales figures between July and October totalling 2,902 units, averaging approximately 726 vehicles sold per month. Despite this early softness, Kia maintains a high degree of confidence in the model, projecting an optimistic annual sales target of 20,000 Tasmans. Achieving this long-term goal will necessitate a substantial increase in demand, translating to a monthly sales average of 1,666 vehicles. The rapid availability of extensive aftermarket accessories from key players like ARB is a crucial factor that will support Kia in meeting its ambitious sales forecasts by immediately catering to the core demographic of ute buyers who value customisation and off-road readiness.
