Dodge has officially pulled the curtain back on the 2026 Charger Daytona range, expanding the lineup with a brand-new liftback sedan that joins the already revealed coupe. Visually, the two body styles are nearly identical, as they share the same front and rear fascias, roof profile, and liftgate design. This approach ensures a cohesive family look while allowing Dodge to broaden the Charger’s appeal beyond traditional two-door buyers.
While the five-door sedan mirrors the coupe in overall size, it brings a noticeable boost in everyday usability. Despite unchanged exterior and interior dimensions, the liftback configuration significantly enhances practicality. Rear passengers benefit from a generous 945 mm of legroom, while the cargo area offers up to 1,059 liters of space, making the sedan a far more versatile option for daily driving, road trips, or family use.
Inside, the 2026 Charger Daytona features a modern, technology-focused cabin. A large 16-inch digital instrument display sits directly in front of the driver, paired with a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment touchscreen that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Standard comfort features include a heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, an integrated garage door opener, and a combination of cloth and leatherette upholstery. Safety and driver assistance technologies are also extensive, with systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Active Driving Assist, and Active Lane Management all included. Additional protections come in the form of Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind-Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path Alert, and Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning.
Stepping up to the Plus trim adds a more premium touch. This version introduces upgraded LED headlights, a power-operated liftgate, and a front trunk, or “frunk,” for extra storage. Inside, drivers gain a wireless smartphone charging pad, customizable 64-color ambient lighting, a power-adjustable tilt and telescoping steering column, a ParkView 360-degree surround-view camera system, and an enhanced security alarm. Buyers can further personalize their Charger with optional extras such as a panoramic glass roof, an 18-speaker Alpine premium sound system, or a Carbon & Suede interior package. There’s also a Blacktop package that brings dark exterior badging and 20-inch wheels finished in a darker tone.
On the styling front, Dodge has introduced a new gloss black painted hood for the 2026 model year. Customers can also choose matte black Fratzog stripes accented with red details and a repeating graphic pattern, adding a distinctive visual flair.
Performance-wise, the 2026 Charger Daytona is offered exclusively in Scat Pack form. This means every model comes equipped with a sizable 100.5 kWh battery and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup producing 630 horsepower and 849 Nm of torque. For short bursts of extra performance, Dodge’s PowerShot feature can temporarily add 40 horsepower for up to 10 seconds. Both the coupe and sedan sprint from 0 to 96 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, complete the quarter mile in 11.5 seconds, and reach a top speed of 217 km/h. However, the estimated driving range of 388 km may be a drawback for some buyers.
Charging is relatively quick with the right equipment. Using a 350 kW DC fast charger, the battery can be replenished from 20 to 80 percent in only 24 minutes. A 175 kW charger extends that time to around 42 minutes, while home charging with an 11 kW Level 2 unit takes approximately 5.4 hours for the same charge window.
For enthusiasts seeking even sharper handling, an optional Track package is available. It adds lightweight 20-inch aluminum wheels, high-performance Brembo brakes with red six- and four-piston calipers, adaptive damping suspension, a gloss black rear spoiler, a drive experience recorder, and leather-and-suede sport seats with fixed headrests.
Dodge is already accepting orders for both the 2026 Charger Daytona coupe and sedan, with deliveries expected in the second half of the year. Pricing details remain undisclosed. However, potential buyers may want to wait, as the Charger Sixpack is set to arrive later in 2025, featuring a twin-turbo 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six engine producing either 420 or 550 horsepower.
