At the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show, BYD introduced the all-new Han L, a model that arrives with both pure-electric and plug-in hybrid options, updated styling, and a range of limited-time buyer incentives. According to details shared by Y-Auto, pricing after subsidies begins at 194,800 yuan (roughly $27,400) and extends to 264,800 yuan (about $37,200). The fully electric version stands out for its performance, offering an impressive 701 km of CLTC driving range per charge and accelerating from 0–100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, positioning the Han L among the quicker sedans in its segment.

The exterior of the Han L embraces a bold and contemporary design language. Its hood features sharp sculpted lines with twin ridges that emphasize the car’s width and athletic stance. A sleek LED lighting setup at the front adds a high-tech visual signature, while flush-fitting door handles help improve aerodynamics. Mounted on the roof is a laser-based LiDAR sensor, hinting at the vehicle’s robust autonomous-driving capabilities. BYD has also expanded the colour palette to include new shades such as olive green and Xizi blue, giving buyers fresh aesthetic choices. Sportier versions incorporate darkened emblems, matte-black wheels, and eye-catching yellow brake calipers. At the rear, a full-width LED light bar, swirling light patterns, a diffuser-style bumper, and dual silver skid plates complete the premium performance look.

Inside the cabin, BYD has maintained its familiar family-style interior design, which includes a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and a fully digital instrument cluster. The Han L comes equipped with BYD’s “God’s Eye B” (DiPilot 300) system across all trims. This laser-assisted driver-assistance platform supports both urban and highway navigation, offering a higher degree of semi-autonomous driving functionality.

For powertrains, the Han L is available in both PHEV and EV configurations. The plug-in hybrid variant pairs a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with dual electric motors generating 200 kW each at the front and rear axles. This setup provides a pure-electric driving range of 200 km under the CLTC cycle, and it can sprint from 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The all-electric model is offered with one or two motors, depending on the trim, with a maximum output reaching 810 kW. This top-spec version achieves the 0–100 km/h run in 2.7 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 305 km/h. It is powered by an 83.2 kWh fast-charging battery using BYD’s Super e 1,000-volt architecture. Range varies by drivetrain layout, with the rear-wheel-drive version rated at 701 km and the all-wheel-drive variant delivering 601 km on a single charge.

BYD

To attract early adopters, BYD has rolled out seven special incentives for those who order the Han L before December 31. These benefits can total up to 52,000 yuan (approximately $7,300). Additionally, limited-time styling packages are being offered. One such package—normally priced at 13,000 yuan (around $1,830)—includes exclusive paint choices like olive green or Xizi blue, a contrasting floating black roof, sporty trim elements, matte-black wheels, and four-piston yellow brake calipers. During the promotional period, this package is discounted to 5,000 yuan (roughly $700), making it a notable value addition for buyers looking to personalize their vehicle.
