BYD Han Launched, The Fastest Chinese PHEV

BYD has launched a plug-in hybrid and electric version on Han sedan in Chinese market.

Interim of size. BYD Han is 4960 mm long, 1910 mm wide, 1495 mm tall and has the wheelbase of 2920 mm. Some highlighted features are LED headlights, digital key tech, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 15.6-inch infotainment system, Nappa leather seats, wood or aluminum trim, wireless smartphone charger, dual-zone automatic climate control system and heated and ventilated driver seat.

BYD Han Performance

The electric models uses 76.9 kWh battery pack and an electric motor mounted on the front axle with 219 hp and 330 NM of torque. Both models can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 7.9 seconds. The estimated driving range is 605 km per single charge (375 Mile).

2021 BYD Hen Rear

Starting price for the base electric version is around $32k. There is also a high performance version of electric Han with extra motor at the rear with 268 hp and 350 NM of torque. The second motor gives the electric Han an AWD ability. combined power and torque for this model is 487 hp and 680 NM. This amount of power allows the Han to hit 100 kph in 3.9 seconds which makes it as the fastest EV ever produced in China. Although this version has more power and performance but its driving range reduced to 550 km (341 Mile). starting price for this model is $39k.

2021 BYD Hen Interior

The plug-in version Han with the starting price of $32k uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 189 hp and 320 NM of torque. It benefits a 15.2 kWh battery and a 241 hp and 330 NM electric motor.

Fastest Chinese PHEV

The combined output for the plug-in hybrid version is 430 hp and 650 NM of torque. It can sprint to 100 kph in 4.7 second and proves itself as China's fastest PHEV vehicle. This model can travel up to 80 km relying on its electric power and has a total range of more than 800 km.

BYD Han is also host to a range of high tech safety systems including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, automatic emergency brakes, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition system, blind spot monitoring system, rear collision warning and rear cross traffic alert system.

BYD is planning for the European launch of Han for the future.
