Ford has launched a new seven seat SUV in China called the 2021 Ford Equator. Ford is building the Equator joint venture with Jianjling-Ford.
Design wise the 2021 Ford Equator uses a big grill with slim headlights and led daytime running lights at the rear it features an LED light bar and split tailgate.
In terms of size 4 Equator measures 4,905 mm line 1,930 mm wide and 1,755 mm tall it's wheelbase is 2,865 mm which puts it in the same segment as Toyota Highlander and Jeep Grand Commander.
Under the hood Ford Equator uses a 2-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder petrol engine which can produce 221 horsepower and makes it to a 5-speed automatic transmission or 5-speed manual transmission.
Ford Equator is a rear-wheel drive car as a standard but customers can get an all-wheel drive system as an extra-cost option. Ford hasn't released any pricing detail yet.
