Jeep started its journey as a company that makes crossovers through Jeep Compass more than a decade ago. The first generation was not a complete success but the second one could represent the company’s off-road legacy perfectly. Jeep Compass was really successful for two years, and now Jeep is looking to extend the model’s features for China. It was debuted at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China.
Unfortunately, we haven’t got many pictures of the updated model, but what we have shows some changes in the exterior. Well, many changes.
The front part of the body, is similar to the teasers and the spy shots taken. The grill is so big that makes you feel the 2022 Jeep Compass is smiling at you. The headlights are now new with a sharp and narrow shape. According to China’s market, the model gets LED headlights. The taillights will probably be the same.
The major changes belong to the cabin, since the interior part has been redesigned. It is safe to say that the dashboard is completely new. A 10.1-inch display is sitting on top of it. It will also have HVAC vents with physical controls. The 10.2inch digital cluster, will provide the driver with information. The steering wheel of the 2022 Jeep Compass is new as well, and the center console got a whole new makeover.
According to what was debuted at the show, the 2022 Jeep Compass will be offered with a 1.3-litre turbocharged engine. The nine-speed automatic transmission will accompany it. The Jeep Compass which exist in the US market, is a naturally aspirated 2.4-litre engine and produces 180 horsepower and 237Nm of torque. So, the Chinese version is smaller than the American one.
