2021 Toyota Camry Facelift Introduced for Chinese Market

GAC Toyota that builds Toyota cars for the Chinese market introduced an updated Toyota Camry in two different sport and luxury versions.

The updated Camry can be distinguished by a new bumper, digital instrument cluster, new central screen, and TSS driving assistance systems. It’s available with 2.0-liter, 2.5-liter, and 2.5-liter hybrid engines and its pricing starts from 179,800 to 269,800 yuan.

Design

The new bummer has C-shaped decorations on the sides and the big-mouth design still remains. The sport version has a new lower lip on the front bumper with some more visual changes. As it is an updated version there is no change in the structure and size so the car still measures 4900/1840/1455mm in length, width and height with a wheelbase of 2825 mm.

Inside the cabin, there are two big screens, a 10.1-inch screen on the center console and a 12.5-inch screen as a fully digital instrument cluster.

Other highlights inside the cabin are intelligent voice interaction, in-vehicle WeChat, AutoNavi map, Baidu CarLife, and the system supports OTA online upgrades and free unlimited Internet traffic for 3 years. Toyota also offers a remote service function called G-Security that can remote control the engine, door lock, and air conditioning system.

Powertrain

Under the hood, the 2.0-liter version has 175 hp and 210 nm of torque with average fuel consumption of 5.7 l/100km. The 2.5-liter version has 206 hp and 250 nm of torque and its average fuel consumption of 6.0 l/100 km. For hybrid lovers, there is a 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain available with a combined power of 214 hp. It consumes 4.1 l/100km.
