Author: |

Roewe introduced an updated model of the i5 sedan for the 2021 model year with some visual and technical changes.

The most obvious change comes from the front of the vehicle. You can barely see the shadow of the current i5. The double-layered wing grille with the new lion logo is also the latest Roewe style, and the overall finish is better displayed.

Design

A sharper matte badge is also designed on both sides of the body. Under the front fascia, there are carbon fiber style embellishments that enhance the sporty feel of the new i5. The shape of the headlights on LED is also sharper.

The side window trims are black in style, and the double-layered beltline design makes the side look less monotonous and gives the feeling of a rising rear.

The Roewe i5 uses disk brakes in both the front and rear. The real shot models use 16-inch wheels, and the tires are Cooper ZEON C7 models with specs of 205/55 R16. The overall shape change at the rear of the car is not as big as that of the front and is mainly focused on matching details.

Interior

The interior structure is more intricate. A piercing chrome strip connects the taillights on both sides. The Roewe brand logo is located in the center of the rear of the car. Above the license plate frame is a button to open the trunk.

The interior design is also a big change from the current model. The new style has a stronger sense of technology. The floating screen and physical buttons add layers to the center console.

There are perforated leather wraps on both sides of the steering wheel, and the grip and size are more appropriate. The real-shot model also comes with a full LCD instrument that has a relatively complete display function.

The front and rear seats are comfortable. The front seats have power adjustment. The rear seats also have central headrests and are equipped with air vents and USB ports. The trunk space is relatively decent.

The 5MT and CVT transmissions are matched to the 1.5-liter engine; the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission to the 1.5T engine.
